Role Overview:
We are seeking a skilled technology professional with strong hands-on experience in Guidewire PolicyCenter development.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the creation a data feed from Guidewire PolicyCenter v9
- Design and deliver low level diagrams
- Supporting run and operation of these data feeds
- Troubleshoot application-related problems in PC
Required Skills
- 4+ years recent experience with Guidewire PolicyCenter .Strong understanding of PolicyCenter data model and business processes.
- Hands-on experience with Gosu programming (inheritance, polymorphism, exception handling).
- Deep knowledge of Product Model, Job Lifecycle, and Policy Transactions (new business, renewal, endorsement, cancellation).
- Expertise in Configuring PolicyCenter (typelists, entities, PCFs, workflows, rules engine)
- Experience with Guidewire Integration mechanisms (Messaging, Web Services, Plugins, Batch Processes).
- Working knowledge of GX Model & Edge APIs,.
- Hands-on experience integrating with external systems using REST.
- Understanding of event-driven processing (messaging triggers).
- Experience working with Guidewire Data Model and database schema.
- Ability to profile and debug PolicyCenter performance issues.
- Understanding of caching strategies, efficient querying, and memory management.
- Knowledge of Guidewire coding standards & best practices for customization and maintainability.
- Understanding of insurance domain concepts (policy lifecycle, underwriting, renewals).
- Ability to understand requirements, collaborate with business analysts, and provide technical solutions. 7. Testing
- Understanding of testing automation outside Gunits.
Good to Have
- Design and Build Data Feeds from PolicyCenter v9 Lead and support the creation of data feeds from Guidewire PolicyCenter v9, ensuring accurate extraction, transformation, and delivery of policy data to downstream systems.
- Develop Low-Level Technical Diagrams
- Produce detailed low-level design (LLD) diagrams that clearly outline data flow, system interactions, integration logic, and component-level architecture to support technical implementation.
- Ensure Smooth Run and Operations of Data Feeds Monitor, maintain, and optimise the operation of data feeds, ensuring stability, performance, and adherence to business SLAs across environments.
- Troubleshoot PolicyCenter Issues Diagnose and resolve application-related issues within PolicyCenter, including configuration, integration, and performance problems, ensuring minimal impact on business operations.
- Configure and Extend PolicyCenter
- Apply strong knowledge of the PolicyCenter data model, Product
