Gowri Shankar Subramanian is a Co-Founder, Chairman & CEO of Aspire Systems. Under his leadership, Aspire has grown to a team of 4,300-plus people with a strong presence across US, Europe, Middle East and India. Aspire has been ranked as one of the 100 best employers in India for the past 12 years in a row by The Economic Times and Great Place to Work Institute. Aspire has also been featured periodically in Deloitte's list of fastest-growing companies in India and the Asia-Pacific.
He is an active speaker and has presented in various industry events and has been quoted extensively by leading publications. Gowri is an Angel Investor, actively investing in start-ups across the country. He also believes in giving back to society through Polestar and Pearltri Foundation that stands for the cause of social upliftment.
Gowri has a Masters in Industrial Engineering from Texas A&M University and a Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering from Pondicherry Engineering College. He is also an amateur pilot still trying to get it right!
As Executive Vice President (Delivery) of Aspire Systems, Sunil is solely dedicated in managing the entire delivery process from Aspire’s Global Delivery Centers. With over 2 decades of varied experience in IT and Turnkey projects, Sunil has deep grounded knowledge and exceptional skills in Software Services and Products. His focus areas include Business Development and Acquisition, Business Unit Management, Program Management, Engagement and Delivery Management.
Before making a difference to our Global delivery process at Aspire, Sunil was steering the project management and client engagement activities at HCL Technologies. Sunil was synergizing multiple client engagements across different domains for Fortune 500 companies at HCL technologies. He was instrumental in establishing a “New Initiatives Group”, focused on identifying new domains and emerging technologies to work on, at HCL and has lead numerous critical multi-site projects with large teams and multiple technologies.
In his previous role at iSOFT, Sunil was entrusted with complex and large enterprise class projects across geographies.
Sunil is a MBA from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Bangalore and has a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Andhra University, India.
Sridhar PS is our CFO and oversees Aspire’s Financial Planning & Analysis, Accounting & Controllership and Stakeholder management. He is a Chartered Accountant with over 18 years of experience predominantly in IT Industry.
Sridhar has joined us from D&B TransUnion, where he was the Senior Vice-President Finance, contributing actively to Stakeholder Management. He brings with him a wealth of experience in analytical strategic planning, business acumen & reliability in financial reporting and ensuring diligence, governance and controls in operations.
In his earlier role at Aviva Global Shared Services, UK he worked on a Business Finance role with a strategic focus on Financial Planning, Control and Efficiencies for their Captive ITES centers in India and Sri Lanka. He played a key role in the exit strategy of their BOT business model in India. Prior to that he was with Cognizant Technologies where he worked in increasingly responsible positions in Finance.
Prathap V Achuthan currently serves as the Vice President - US Operations at Aspire Systems and has been associated with the company since the formative years. He has held several key positions in Sales & Marketing at Aspire and was recently Vice President of Sales - US. He brings with him 14 years of rich experience in General Management, Strategy, and International Sales & Marketing.
Prathap has played a pivotal role in architecting a formal sales process and in establishing Aspire as a multifaceted global brand across geographies. He strongly believes in "Trust based selling" and through strong customer focus he has helped Aspire win number of long term relationships. In 2007, he set up a business unit in California that saw a growth in the region by over 50%.
In the current position, he oversees the US operations and is the driving force of Aspire expanding in the US and overall growth.
Prathap graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mining Engineering from Anna University. He also holds an MBA degree from Anna University.
Shankar serves as the CEO of a product startup, Asteor Software. Asteor has two flagship products – Techcello and Synergita, cloud based software products. Techcello is rated as a Gartner Cool Vendor in CEAP (Cloud Enabled Application Platform) space and also adjudged as Emerge League of 10 in 2012 by Nasscom.
Prior to Asteor, Shankar co-founded Aspire Systems and currently serves as one of the directors of the board. Shankar has played several roles in Aspire - from hands-on software development, project management, overall delivery management to spearheading various technology/producteering initiatives. He has rich track record spanning more than 17 years of successful leadership in product development, consistently delivering software to the worlds leading ISVs and innovative Enterprises. He is proud to be a part of the team which made Aspire a recognized brand in Outsourced Product Development space & also won several awards like GPW’s Best companies to work for, Deloitte’s Fast 50, etc.
Shankar has Masters in Computer Integrated Manufacturing from Bharathiar University, India and Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering from Pondicherry University, India.
Bhoo serves as the CEO of Aspiration Energy. The dream is to harness the high level of insolation abundantly available in India to provide cost effective energy solutions. Bhoo is responsible to convert the untapped potential into a business opportunity and business success to all concerned.
Before founding Aspiration Energy, Bhoo co-founded Aspire Systems and currently serves as one of its Directors of the Board. Prior to this assignment, he was President, US operations for Aspire Systems, and played a part in getting Aspire Systems to be a successful and well recognized Outsourced Product Development company.
Bhoo is a firm believer that "success is a matter of willingness to succeed and to keep at it!". His 12+ years in Aspire has enabled him to interact with hundreds of growth stage ISVs - the management teams, founders, venture capitalists and other stakeholders. Bhoo is a thought leader, and often quoted in leading media, about the software products market and the offshoring strategy of ISVs - including captive center dynamics.
He has a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Pondicherry University, India, and a MBA from Kellogg School of Management, Illinois, USA.
