We are Aspire – an international IT strategy consulting and software development company. Currently, we are looking for a Head of Consulting to join our team in Gdańsk.

As the Head of Consulting, you will be defining and delivering Aspire Systems' offer. You will work with customers from around the world. You will support them in finding the best solutions to their challenges in using digital technology. You will also manage a team of Business Analysts and UX Designers.

Responsibilities of the Head of Consulting:

  • Determining, developing and delivering innovative consulting offerings to target new and current clients
  • Working with clients from all around the world on end-to-end consulting engagements. This includes running workshops and visiting clients when needed
  • Understanding the client’s existing challenges and business objectives and providing the solutions
  • Co-operation with other internal experts like Architects or UX Designers
  • Communicating with all client management levels
  • Preparing and delivering reports, proposals and presentations
  • Managing, coaching and growing a team of Business Analysts and UX Designers
  • Staying up to date on current trends in business and technology

The ideal candidate has:

  • Ability to pick up knowledge in new business domains
  • Ability to research the competitive landscape and draw meaningful conclusions
  • Inquisitive mindset, driving him/her to get to know as much as possible about the client’s situation
  • Analytical, problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to conduct workshops and convey ideas and solutions to both the team and the client
  • Experience in working in an Agile environment
  • Ability to give and accept feedback
  • Coaching experience

Requirements:

  • 5 years+ experience in running consulting engagements
  • Having a strong background in IT will be an asset
  • Creative problem-solving approach
  • Very good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Very good command of English
  • Knowledge of a presentation tool

The solution will allow optimizing the performance and efficiency of certain operations for example documents’ digitalization and commissions’ flow automatization.

Job description

You will be responsible for building and maintaining an innovative enterprise-level .NET solution, that will consist of microservices and web portals.

L2 Application Support Specialist with Java

Guidewire is a leader in software delivery for the insurance industry. Aspire Systems Poland is Guidewire’s partner and right now we're building a new support centre in Gdansk. We are looking for people who will join us as Application Support Specialist.

Apply, if you want to gain experience in an international company and work in Guidewire’s Support Centre for Europe. You will also take part in a training and receive Guidewire certificate.

Your tasks include:

  • Monitoring of cloud-hosted environment for issues
  • Resolving issues reported by Clients and cloud analytics tools
  • Performing root cause analysis based on diagnostic data
  • Cooperating within multi-tier support organization
  • Using InsuranceSuite software and relevant diagnostic tools
  • Executing runbook procedures and recipes to triage cases for disposition (ex. Customer reports system slowness, customer reports missing data files, etc.)
  • Providing incident reports on issues to share with the team

Experience and skills, you need to have:

  • Relevant work experience in a customer-facing support or services role within a technology-oriented company
  • Good Java knowledge (code analysis, applications configuration, troubleshooting)
  • Knowledge of data interchange concepts such RestAPI, SOAP, JSON, XHR
  • Understanding of relational database theory and related project experience
  • Proficiency in English

Guidewire Senior Support Engineer (L3)

As a Guidewire Senior Support Engineer at Aspire Systems Poland you will learn and master Guidewire's Suite of products to perform Cloud-hosted production system restoration, spending your first two months in training to become a certified expert.

Responsibilities:

  • troubleshoot Guidewire Cloud production solution defects and provide solutions to effectively restore system functionality,
  • play a lead role in the continued improvement of the team’s operational processes,
  • provide general technical leadership to the other developer team members,
  • partner with Guidewire delivery teams to understand each customer’s business objectives and integration requirements,
  • document and build procedures to enable our L2 Rapid Response team to independently handle common support tasks and issues,
  • develop internal tooling using GOSU, JAVA, and XML (and other technologies),
  • contribute to technical assessments of incoming Guidewire Cloud-hosted solutions, ensuring that pre-production customer solutions meet our security and performance criteria and adhere to our coding standards,
  • contribute to a team environment (local and remote),
  • commitment to customer SLA’s.

Requirements:

  • bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent,
  • over 5 years of experience working in a technical development environment or capacity, with an introductory level of leadership experience in terms of design ownership or technical guidance or mentorship,
  • advanced exposure to broad technical skills such as Object Oriented programming (JAVA, C#, or similar), relational databases (data modelling/SQL), web UI (design and development), XML, application architecture,
  • ability to prioritize work effort based on a dynamic work environment,
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills,
  • demonstrated problem-solving skills,
  • ability to work independently and within a team.

Desired Skills/Experience:

  • software development lifecycle exposure (AGILE) preferred,
  • experience with a commercial customer incident tracking or CRM system,
  • experience using a software defect tracking system such as JIRA,
  • experience working with leading cloud platform Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) providers such as AWS or Microsoft Azure,
