AWS enables enterprises to store and distribute their data, run applications and conduct their business on demand.

The AWS CloudFormation Template
System makes it easy for developers to deploy applications in the cloud without
writing any code or having to worry about infrastructure configuration. The AWS
Cloud computing platform also offers its customers managed
services, which includes Database Migration Service (DMS), Amazon Relational Database
Service (RDS), Amazon Simple Storage Service (S3), Elastic Load Balancing, Amazon CloudFront, Amazon Route53 and Elastic Beanstalk. This
article explores AWS managed services, migration and storage services.

AWS Managed Services

AWS Managed Services is an extension of Amazon EC2 to provide a managed hosting solution for users of the AWS Cloud Platform. It allows you to manage your Amazon EC2 resources and applications, including data storage, compute capacity, network bandwidth, etc. You can use this service through AWS Management Console or the AWS CLI. Managed services are a type of AWS offering that allows you to choose from several different managed service plans that can be tailored to meet your needs. The options vary depending on the type of workload you plan on using AWS for, but they generally include:

Infrastructure as a Service
(IaaS): You can use this option if you
want a fully managed infrastructure that includes everything from servers and
storage to network connectivity. You’ll pay by the hour or by the month,
depending on your needs.

Platform as a Service (PaaS): This option gives you complete control over your application
development environment so you can focus exclusively on building software
solutions without having to worry about managing hardware or infrastructure.
You’ll pay per hour or per month, depending on your needs; however, there is no
charge for data transfer between regions within the same account.

In addition to providing its own
services, Amazon also offers managed cloud services that allow businesses to
better manage their digital infrastructure. These managed services include
Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), Amazon Relational Database Service (RDS),
Amazon Simple Storage Service (S3) and Amazon Virtual Private Cloud (VPC).

Amazon EC2 is a pay-as-you-go
virtual machine hosting service that lets users provision virtual machines with
various Linux distributions, including Ubuntu, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, and
CentOS. It also supports Windows Server 2012 and Windows Server 2008 R2
operating systems. Amazon RDS provides relational databases in the form of
MySQL 5.1 or higher versions on PgSQL 6 or higher versions. It also supports
PostgreSQL 9.4 or higher versions for both Oracle and SQLite databases. Amazon
S3 provides object storage for any kind of application object data, including
images, video files and documents.

AWS managed services include a
number of benefits to businesses, including the following:

Minimized downtime and increased uptime

Reduced costs

Improved security and data
privacy

Easy scalability and elasticity

Accessibility from anywhere on
any device

AWS Migration

AWS Migration is a full migration of your existing IT infrastructure to the AWS Cloud to differentiate yourself from the competition and gain market share. It’s a way to offer shared hosting, virtual private servers (VPS), Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), and Platform as a Service (PaaS) without having to build an infrastructure from scratch in-house or spend hundreds of thousands of dollars on hardware and software licenses. Database Migration Service allows you to easily migrate existing databases from one database server to another without losing any data. The service also supports high availability and multi-master replication across different regions and availability zones in Amazon EC2’s cloud computing platform.

AWS Managed Storage Services

AWS Managed Storage Service provides resiliency and high
availability with enterprise-class data storage technologies. It allows you to
protect your application workloads from outages or disasters by automatically
recovering lost data with no downtime.

Amazon Web Services offers
storage services for its customers who need secure storage for their data. From
its entry-level storage buckets such as Simple Storage Service (S3) and
Glacier, up to its high-end object stores such as EBS volumes or Elastic Block
Store (EBS). Storage Services also manages the storage used by your
applications by storing files in Amazon S3 or Glacier, providing durability and
security guarantees at no additional cost to you.

Conclusion

Amazon Managed Services is the perfect solution if you want to grow your enterprise but aren’t sure how.
