JDBC Driver upgrade for a proprietary RDBMSTHE CUSTOMER A leading provider of Internet TV programming (IPTV), mobile messaging and data services. They also develop and market a database product that is used by companies in the development and management of complex information databases. Their proprietary product has been integral to the development and deployment of mission critical database systems for a wide range of customers and industries over the past 15 years.
THEIR NEED They wanted to upgrade their existing JDBC driver for SQL 2.0 compliance and needed it to be tested and maintained as well. They also needed support for JPEG rendering and asynchronous event handling for ActiveX controls in one of their proprietary products (which had a very large legacy code base).
OUR DEED Aspire helped the customer upgrade and test their JDBC driver for SQL 2.0 compliance, and continue to maintain it. Aspire also enabled their product to render JPEG images (only BMP was supported earlier) and reworked the existing logic to enable synchronous and asynchronous event handling for ActiveX Controls.
