ASPIRE IS BULLISH ON 'SOFTWARE PRODUCT TESTING'

Chennai, January 22, 2003 - Aspire Systems, a leading outsourced product development firm based in Chennai, today announced its foray into third-party quality assurance for software products.

Gowri Subramanian, Chief Executive Officer, Aspire Systems says, "Customers understand the need to outsource software testing to achieve higher quality standards. Aspire Systems has a dedicated team addressing this need. Our software testing is designed and priced to enable software companies to build quality into their next generation software products."

The increasing demand for testing from US based software product companies has propelled Aspire Systems to leverage its product testing expertise, which was primarily addressing the company's existing software development clients. With a dedicated team completely focused on testing, the company now plans to aggressively market standalone product testing services as well.

"Organizations that do not have dedicated resources for quality assurance, particularly in the area of software product development, risk high failure rates and end-user downtime. This is easily seen with the high demand for third-party testing from product companies. We already have acquired 2 customers, within a month of launching this as a separate service,” commented Bhoovarahan Thirumalai, Vice President - Business Development, Aspire Systems.

Aspire will expand its testing team to over 25 members by the end of this financial year. The company also expects revenue from this space to significantly increase. According to Gowri, “Revenues from software testing have been incremental with the service being offered as a value-add to our customers for whom we have undertaken outsourced software product development. Our expertise in this space has paved the way for other companies as well to seek our services in software testing and today we see a definite upswing in this segment of our business.”
