World Environment Day celebrated at AspireAspire and Greenpeace get together to celebrate Environment Day. Chennai, June 10, 2009: ‘Go Green’ was the tag at Aspire Systems, India’s leading Outsourced Product Development company, on World Environment Day. Greenpeace, world’s most effective environmental activists group and Aspire Systems’s CSR wing, ‘Polestar’ joined together on the 5th of June 2009 to create awareness to employees on various environmental issues.
“We were assisted by representatives of Greenpeace in helping spread the message of saving the environment by setting up a stall with environment-related messages, singing ‘Green’ carols and screening movies and documentaries on various environmental issues. Climate change, toxics, GE (Genetic Engineering) and saving the seas were the subjects focussed on”, said Victor Daniel Mallela, Executive – Talent Nurturing, Aspire Systems, who currently heads ‘Polestar’.
Dinesh Kumar T. K., Manager – Talent Management, Aspire Systems said, “The main objective of the activity was to raise individual level awareness on how one's day to day work / home activities could be made environment friendly and we as a company strongly stand by to save energy and our environment.”
