Aspire Clinches US-Based Open Source Development Project

Aspire’s Ruby on Rails (RoR) framework expertise played a crucial role in winning the project.

EFY News Network

Thursday, January 31, 2008:  Aspire Systems, an outsourced product development company based out of India, has bagged a US-based open source development project on the back of its RoR expertise. Ruby on Rails - often called RoR, or just Rails, is an open source Web application framework written in Ruby that closely follows the Model-View-Controller (MVC) architecture. It allows real-world applications to be developed in less code than other frameworks and with a minimum of configuration.
Speaking on the new RoR project, Sunil JNV, vice president, delivery, Aspire Systems, stated, “Aspire is very excited about the project and is deploying Ruby on Rails (RoR) for this particular project. We develop products and Web applications using agile development techniques. Ruby on Rails is an open-source Web framework that ensures faster development, easier maintenance with reduced number of bugs and hassle-free configuration.”

“RoR is fast catching up in the market as a preferred technology. RoR simplifies development with several innovative techniques such as scaffolding, convention over configuration, etc. With RoR, our customers will be able to initiate and maintain an unlimited number of cases. Our customers can also enjoy better Web 2.0 support when compared to other technologies,” shared Shankar Krishnamoorthy, CTO, Aspire Systems.
